Social Media And Depression
A new research analysis was made by monitoring 9479 people in total. Furthermore, 688 out of these people were diagnosed with clinical depression. In this study, researchers noticed the timing and content of their tweets. The pattern, subject, and timing of Tweets may help to diagnose people with depression and mental health issues.
According to the research, depressed people share more about themselves on social media. Furthermore, they are more active on social media between 7 p.m. and midnight. However, they are least active from 3 to 6 a.m. the subject or content involves self-reflection and rumination.
People with depression are mostly online after dinner and before breakfast. Depressed people while seeing others doing better than them, they become sad, angry, or frustrated. Furthermore, the feeling of hatred and jealousy becomes a part of their personality. They become disappointed with their life. Thus, it results in an increase in the crime rate in society.
Furthermore, individuals become selfish and spread negativity. However, some depressed people become more sensitive to everything. It also shows the emotional instability of a depressed person. People with mental health issues also exhibit these behaviors.
